Pearl Gladiators have got an interesting schedule in the Qatar T10 League as they played the opening match against Flying Oryx and lost by nine wickets. On Tuesday, their supposed 2nd match against Desert Riders ended without a result. They will finally be in action when they face Swift Gallopers in the first game on Thursday. The Gallopers have won their previous two matches after losing the first game. They posted a record total of 153/7 against the Heat Stormers on Wednesday night. Imran Ali played key role in pushing the total by 30 runs than expected. He struck an unbeaten 53 from only 17 balls with three fours and six sixes. Later, he took a couple of wickets with the ball.
The West End Park Stadium could face showers later in the day but no rain is expected during the match.
The pitch at the West End Park continues to improve in producing big totals. The changes in tactics of the teams and their approach in playing 10 overs is also caused a change. The pitch might not slow down considerably. It will remain good for batting and even 110 can be chased.
