Since the outbreak of coronavirus, many cricketers have come up and shared their messages to the fans via social media. Most of them have tried to spread awareness regarding the COVID-19 threat. While the rest have tried to provide precautionary measures to their fans. Amidst no cricket around, it is good to see these cricketers come up and help the community with social awareness.
Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has been doing his part on Twitter. Recently, Ashwin changed his Twitter username to “Let’s stay indoors India” to promote the idea of isolation. The Indian government has announced 21-day lockdown until April 15 which could be extended. The Tamil Nadu player is doing his part in trying to spread community awareness through Twitter.
Recently a piece of news came from Italy, that a 101-year-old man recovered from the coronavirus. According to the reports by Italian news, this man named “Mr.P” is believed to be the oldest person who has got recovered from the disease.
‘Great boost to our human race’: Ravichandran Ashwin
Reports regarding Mr.P suggest that the man was born back in 1919. A week ago he was tested positive for coronavirus in the hospital in Rimini. In a televised interview, Gloria Lisi, Vice-Mayor of Rimini said the patient started to recover after being admitted to the hospital.
The reports suggest that the story has become known to everybody in Italy and a true inspiration. Mr P had also survived the 1918 flu which affected almost 500 million people in the world at the time. He also lived through to the World War and now he has recovered from coronavirus.
When Ashwin read the story on Twitter he decided to reply to the tweet and share the story with his fellow Indians. The Chennai player said this story is a great boost for all the humans were fighting with coronavirus. “Resolve shown in adversity, great boost to our human race”, the 33-year old tweeted.

Ravichandran Ashwin has been very active social media lately he has been spreading his messages across regarding coronavirus. He has posted a series of tweets regarding this issue.
The off-spinner, who hasn’t featured for India in ODIs since 2017, would have been playing for Delhi Capitals in the IPL 2020 by now. After representing Kings XI Punjab for the past seasons, he was traded off to Capitals for the 13th edition of the cash-rich league.
