India is currently playing 4th Test against England in the Narendra Modi Stadium Ahmedabad. Various names from the squad have been rising on the occasion in the crunch situations, but if there’s one name, who is flaunting top-class consistency in the last few months, it is Rishabh Pant. Pant has emerged as a batting mainstay of the Indian side in the Test format owing to his recent heroics that began in the last Australia series.
Talking of India’s latest innings in the 4th Test match, the young wicketkeeper-batsman again shouldered all the responsibilities and smashed a blistering ton. When India was down with four wickets in form of all the big names, Pant walked up the field like a master and stitched a robust partnership with Washington Sundar. His stunning knock of 101 runs pushed India to bag a respectable lead in the game. Later, a masterclass from Sundar (96*) shifted all the momentum towards the hosts.
In the same reference, an old picture of Rishabh Pant has been doing rounds on social media. In a throwback picture, the young batter can be seen seeking an autograph on his bat from star pacer Ashish Nehra. It is a known fact that fans have also seen a similar picture of Indian skipper Virat Kohli taking an autograph from Nehra, and that is where the discussion kicked in. Netizens started comparing Kohli and Pant and added that the secret to success can be seeking blessings from Nehra.

Rishabh Pant reacts on his ton
Talking about his ton, Pant had stated- “The plan was just to build a partnership when I joined Rohit, that was the only thing on my mind. I was thinking I would assess the pitch and then play my shots. If the bowlers are bowling well, respect it and take the singles, and that was on my mind. I like to play the situation, and I just see the ball and react – that’s the USP (unique selling point) of my game.”
