The Road Safety World Series 2021 is all set to resume on March 5 after the COVID-19 pandemic led to the postponement of the tournament last year. Last year, the matches were played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, but this time around, the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur will be playing host to the event.
Last year, India Legends, Sri Lanka Legends, Australia Legends, South Africa Legends, and West Indies Legends played in the event. But Brett Lee’s Australia won’t be a part of the tournament this year. Therefore, the organisers have replaced his team with Bangladesh Legends and England Legends.
The matches in the group stage will take place after which the semi-finals would be played on March 17 and March 18. The final is scheduled for Sunday, March 21. The India Legends are atop the points table with wins in both their matches. They will resume their journey against Bangladesh.
From England, the likes of Kevin Pietersen, Monty Panesar, and Matthew Hoggard, among others will be on the show. From Bangladesh, Khaled Mahmud Sujon and Mohammad Rafique, Aftab Ahmed, Abdur Razzak, Khaled Mashud Pilot, among others, will be plying their trade.
