Life in bio-bubbles has been tough for the players as they are confined to their hotel rooms all the time. Along with it, the cricketers have to undergo COVID-19 tests every now and then according to the rules. It is natural that they must be getting frustrated with constant testing and something of similar sorts happened to India opener Rohit Sharma on Wednesday.
Ahead of the second ODI, players from both sides, India and England, were scheduled to get tested for the virus and Rishabh Pant decided to have some fun at the expense of Rohit. While the latter was undergoing the test, the India wicket-keeper started recording the video and tried to tease him.
Rohit Sharma was visibly frustrated after being tested and when Rishabh asked him, “Kaise ho bhaiyya?” the former responded him showing the middle finger. Interestingly, Pant posted the hilarious video on his Insta story and it has gone viral now as the fans are left in splits over the same.
Here’s the video:
Rohit Sharma cleared of serious injury
Meanwhile, it has been reported that Rohit Sharma is cleared of any serious injury after being hit on the elbow while facing Mark Wood. He was in extreme pain and looked uncomfortable during his stay in the middle during the match. He didn’t even come out to field in the second innings and many reckoned he might miss the second ODI.
While there is still doubt over his participation in the next game, the fans will be relieved that there is no serious injury to Rohit. However, Shreyas Iyer suffered a shoulder injury while fielding in the series opener and he might not play again in the series.
Even England have injury issues with their skipper Eoin Morgan and Sam Billings doubtful for the must-win game of the three-match ODI series. The visitors will be keen on improving their performance in the second ODI and keep the series alive.
