Sanju Samson, a promising young Indian wicketkeeper-batsman, is trying to find his foot in the international circuit. Samson, was recently involved in the white-ball cricket against Australia comprising three-match ODI and T20I series. He had directly flown to Sydney with the Men in Blue after the conclusion of the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Sanju had to warm the bench in the One-Day series but he featured in all the three T20 Internationals against Australia. However, the 26-year-old had a forgettable run in the shortest format of the game on Australian soil as he registered scores of 23, 15 and 10 respectively across three innings.
The swashbuckling batsman returned back to India after participating in the third T20I at Sydney Cricket Ground on December 8 as he isn’t a part of Indian squad for the ongoing four-match Border Gavaskar Trophy against Australia. Instead, Rishabh Pant and Wriddhiman Saha have been included in the Test squad as two prominent wicketkeepers.

Sanju and his wife Charu are college sweethearts and have known each other since their college days in Thiruvananthapuram. The love birds tied the knot on December 23, 2018 in a private ceremony in their hometown Thiruvananthapuram in the presence of their close friends and family.
While Sanju Samson had a poor run in the T20I series against Australia, he had a decent outing in the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). In 14 games, the batsman collected 375 runs including three 50+ scores at an average of 28.84. However, his franchise Rajasthan Royals (RR) had a forgettable season as for the first time in their 10-year history in the league, they finished as wooden-spooners with 12 points.
