The 3rd game of the 2019 Scotland ODI Tri-Series is played between Scotland and Papua New Guinea (P.N.G) will be hosted by the Mannofield Park in Aberdeen.
The match starts at 11:00 AM local time (10:00 AM GMT) (3:30 PM IST).
Both Papua New Guinea (P.N.G) and Scotland suffered defeats in the hands of Oman in the first two matches of this tournament. While P.N.G had the game in their hands are different stages of the game, the hosts Scotland went flat after a batting collapse. P.N.G raised 100-run mark by 20th over for the loss of only one wicket thanks to a 77-run opening stand but could only finish with 229/8 in their 50 overs.
The total, in fact, looked like a defendable one but an unbeaten 90-run partnership for the 7th wicket took the game away from P.N.G’s grasp. On the other hand, the home team also got a 71-run opening partnership in only 13.5 overs after they elected to bat. The Oman spinners accounted for 9 wickets as Scotland were bundled out for only 168; which was chased down in 45.1 overs for the loss of only two wickets.
Last five completed List A matches:
Scotland: L, L, L, W, L.
Papua New Guinea (P.N.G): L, W, W, L, L.
There is no threat for this game between Scotland and P.N.G are the weather forecast suggests no rain during the match timings. However, the conditions are expected to remain cloudy throughout the day. Showers could be possible just before the start of the game with no major damage to the match.
After two matches, it is safe to say that the Mannofield Park is a high-scoring venue like the other ones in Scotland. While pitch for the first game remained on the slower side, the second game witnessed early movement due to overnight rain.
