The most exciting form of T20 cricket, the Indian Premier League, is currently going on in the UAE inside the bio-secure bubble. The fascinating game has always been a fan’s favourite due to many reasons– be it glamour, fame, or the endless amount of cash offered.
The pace of the match, especially in the end, notches up to another level and the world gets to witness some of the best explosive innings. The big hits and boundaries just become a treat to eyes when they start flowing in an endless number.
However, there have always been some suggestions and changes proposed by people in the T20 format of cricket. Latest in the addition is legendary leg spinner, Shane Warne. He has suggested some changes rather than improvements on his part in order to make the T20 cricket better. He opined that people want a contest between bat and ball, and not just sixes.
He took to his Twitter and stated: “I would improve T/20 cricket by– 1. Boundaries as big as poss at each venue & on small grounds keep grass on the outfield long, 2. Bowlers a max of 5 overs not four, 3. Pitch must = day 4 test match pitch & not be a flat rd, As we all want a contest between bat & ball, not just 6’s”

Shane Warne is currently serving as Rajasthan Royals’ mentor
Seeing the suggestions of legendary bowler, the improvisations are in favour of a bowler. Also, if these changes are ever taken into consideration, the batsmen would have a tough time hitting big shots against bowlers. Five overs to a bowler will ensure that if a bowler is having a fine day, he can step up for one more in order to boost the performance of his team.
Talking about Warne’s journey in the biggest T20 league of the world that is the Indian Premier League, he remained an integral part of Rajasthan Royals’ from 2008-2011. The inaugural season of the IPL saw Royals lifting up the trophy under the able guidance of Shane Warne, and it is their only trophy in 12 years. In 55 IPL matches he played in his IPL career, he scalped 57 wickets with an economy of 7.27.
