With South Africa all over England in the early part of day three of the ongoing first Test in Centurion, Ben Stokes and Stuart Broad were involved in an ugly spat on the field. South Africa were reduced to 62 for 4 and England had the chance to take charge of the game when debutant Rassie van der Dussen and Anrich Nortje started the day.
However, England could not make the most of the opportunity as van der Dussen and Nortje frustrated the visitors. Van der Dussen went on to score his maiden Test fifty while Nortje played a handy knock of 40. Quinton de Kock (34) and then Vernon Philander (46) also made sure to pile miseries on England as the Proteas recovers to post 272 and set a big target of 376.
And during that passage of play, Ben Stokes and Stuart Broad were seen involved in a heated exchange when the England players were celebrating the fall of a wicket. Stokes was the first to have a go as he said something to Broad in an animated manner before the latter also did the same. Stokes was then seen walking away from the team huddle.
“England’s hot in the weather and not feeling well. I’m pleased that a few words were exchanged to be honest. (They’ve) got a problem with each other, Broad has said something in the huddle that Stokes is not amused with and England’s vice-captain picks him up on it. I don’t mind that at all,” said former England captain Nasser Hussain on air.

England in a promising position
Riding on a fine unbeaten fifty from opener Rory Burns, England have started their second innings in a very promising manner. At the end of day three, England were 121 for 1 while chasing 376. England need 255 more in the remaining two days to secure a stunning win in a match in which there were bowled out for only 181 in the first innings.
Burns, who is unbeaten on 77, added 92 runs with Dom Sibley for the first wicket. Keshav Maharaj ended the stand when he dismissed Sibley for 29 to give the Proteas the much-needed first breakthrough.
