S. Sreesanth, the Indian fast bowler has always attracted controversies throughout his cricket career. He is known for his on-field aggression against the batsmen because of which the right-arm pacer was brought under the scanner during his stint in international cricket. Sreesanth now he has come up with some surprising answers in an interview related to his career.
The right-arm pacer made his debut for Team India back in 2005 and emerged as one of the speedsters across the country. He donned national jersey in 27 Tests, 53 ODIs and 10 T20Is in which Sreesanth grabbed 169 international wickets. His career came to a halt when he was alleged for having an involvement in the IPL 2013 spot-fixing scandal. However, the court set him free from the claims that were being made as there was no evidence available.
Sreesanth’s surprising answer in a rapid-fire round
Sreesanth was recently quizzed with some cheeky questions in an exclusive interview given to NewsNation. The Indian pacer was asked about what pranks he used to play in his time with Team India. In reply to it, Sreesanth said that he used to text false messages to his teammates about the fake practice sessions early in the morning at 6:00 am.
The reporter also asked Sreesanth about the best bowler. There was an expectation that he might take the name of an Indian bowler like Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohammed Shami or Jasprit Bumrah. But, surprisingly, he said that James Anderson is the best in the world.
Sreesanth also recited that Mathew Hayden and Andrew Symonds are the two players that he doesn’t like as a batsman because they are very arrogant. However, when he was questioned about his favourite teammates in Team India. In answer to it, he took the names of Suresh Raina, Robin Uthappa, MS Dhoni and Irfan Pathan.
The 36-year-old pacer was handed with a lifetime ban from BCCI after he was brought under the scanner of IPL spot-fixing. Although he got a clean chit from the apex court, the cricket board is due to take a decision on the future of the former World Cup-winning cricketer.
