The inaugural edition of the Road Safety World Series hosted at the Saheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur concluded with the Indian legends scripting victory against Sri Lanka Legends by 12 runs in the final and lifting the elite T20 Trophy. The entire tournament was conducted in a bio-secure bubble in view of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
Though the tournament concluded without any roadblocks, a few days after the league, Indian Legends skipper and batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar tested positive for the novel coronavirus. Tendulkar has self-isolated himself at his home and had informed regarding his health via his official Twitter handle.
“I have been testing myself and taking all the recommended precautions to ensure Covid is kept at bay. However, I’ve tested positive today following mild symptoms. All others at home have tested negative. I’ve quarantined myself at home and am following all the necessary protocols as advised by my doctors. I want to thank all the healthcare professionals who are supporting me and many others across the country. Take care all of you,” Tendulkar had tweeted.
