The 12th match of the 2020 St Lucia T10 Blast will be played between Central Castries Mindhood Heritage and Laborie Bay Royals at the Daren Sammy National Cricket Ground in Gros Islet, St Lucia.
The match starts at 2:30 PM local time (12:00 AM IST – Next Day) (6:30 PM GMT). This match can be streamed live on Fancode.
The Laborie Bay Royals are off to a poor start in the tournament, losing their opening game against an under-performing side which won’t do any good to their confidence. They could manage only 82 runs batting first and the North Raiders chased that total down easily. None of their batsmen could do a job individually and that reflected on the scorecard.
Besides a 16-run cameo from skipper Denlee Anthony, there was nothing in their innings which could’ve made them proud. They are up against the Central Castries, who were off to a great start but struggled in their previous game against the tournament favourites Cannon Blasters. They are keen on regaining their form back.
A certain drizzle or a heavy shower could be expected before the start of the game, which could interrupt play. But the game will go on as per plan, unless the rains stay for a longer duration.
This track at the Darren Sammy National Cricket Stadium has been an absolute paradise for batting. An average score of 116 to go with three scores in excess of 150 in just 10 games gives you an idea of how good the track is for batting.
Average first innings score: 116 (In 10 matches so far)
Record of the chasing teams: Won – 3; Lost – 7

Stephen Naitram scored a half-century in the first game and got a decent start against the Cannon Blasters, but couldn’t build on it. He registered 70 runs in the two innings he played. Ackeem Auguste could be a decent pick among batsmen, who came in the middle order and tonked a few boundaries before getting dismissed abruptly.
Keddy Lesporis, former First-class cricketer for St Lucia, continues to be a top pick among the Central Castries. He brings vast experience to the side and is capable of hitting the ball a long distance. Dillan John will be the first choice among the Castries bowlers to head into the fantasy XI. He picked up two wickets and gave away just 26 runs in 4 overs this tournament, which are brilliant figures considering the average team scores.
Denlee Anthony didn’t get to fire all cylinders despite getting off to a good start, but he can be placed in the XI despite him costing 10 credit points. He brings in vast experience and bats at the top, which gives him much better time to make his impact.
Nick Andrew got a good start as well with the bat and should be included in your XI as he can contribute with the ball as well. Tyran Theordore registered sensational figures of 2/7 in his previous game and will be a hot pick among the Bay Royals’ bowlers.
