The 3rd match of the Super Smash 2019-20 will be played between Canterbury and Wellington, at the Hagley Oval in Christchurch.
The match starts at 4:10 PM local time (3:10 AM GMT) (8:40 AM IST).
Canterbury will begin their Super Smash campaign against Wellington on Sunday. They boast a strong top-order that comprises of Steve Murdoch, Chad Bowes and Andrew Ellis, who will look to help their side in winning their first game of the tournament. In bowling, they have Ed Nuttall, Henry Shipley forms a formidable bowling duo on which their side will bank on in the upcoming match.
Wellington has Michael Bracewell and Devon Conway, who will open their innings. In the previous season of Super Smash as well they did a good job for their side and the same would be expected from them in the opening match against Canterbury. However, the bowling unit also looks decent that holds a good mix up of young and experienced bowlers.
There are no chances of rain and it is expected to be a perfect day for a cricket match. However, the temperature is expected to deviate between 22 and 25 Degree Celsius according to Accuweather.
The track at Hagley Oval is expected to go in favour of the fast bowlers. It might be a bouncy wicket that will help the pacemen during the match. However, the batsmen will also look to give a tough fight on this ground. The team winning the toss will look to bowl because the teams find it easy to chase at this venue.
