The 4th match of the T20I Tri-series 2019 will be played between Ireland and Netherland at The Village in Dublin.
The match starts at 13:30 PM local time [12:30 PM GMT] [06:00 PM IST].
This series will be live on Star Sports Select 2 and Star Sports Select 2 HD in India. Live streaming is available on Hotstar.
As the caravan of the Ireland Tri-nation series rolls on, hosts Ireland will take on the Netherlands in the 3rd match at The Village in Dublin. The Netherlands would be looking to recover from the shellacking they got at the hands of the Scottish duo of George Munsey (127) and Kyle Coetzer (89) in the previous game.
The duo racked up a 200-run stand in just 15.1 overs, leaving the Dutch a mountain to climb; which they eventually fell short by 58 runs. The first game between these two sides was washed out due to rain.
On a positive note, Dublin’s weather has substantially improved in the past two days, and Wednesday is expected to be a bright and sunny day with maximum temperature hovering around 18 degrees and lower temperature at eight degrees.
As has been a case for a while now and most certainly in the past two games played at The Village, that it offers virtually nothing to the bowlers. With flat decks and short boundaries, it is a safe haven for the batsman. The past two T20Is has seen teams scoring in excess of 200- in Scotland’s case in excess of 250- while batting first, and much of the same can be expected in tomorrow’s game.
Average first innings score: 215 (Record in T20I matches since 2018)
Record of chasing teams: Won – 6 Lost – 4
Paul Stirling didn’t play the game against Scotland due to niggle and it remains to be seen if he gets fit in time for this encounter.
Probable Playing XIs:
Hary Tector, Shane Getkate Andrew Balbarnie, Kevin O’Brien, Gary Wilson (c & wk), Lorcan Tucker, Gareth Delany, Mark Adair, David Delany, Boyd Rankin, Stuart Thompson
Bench – Paul Stirling, Jacob Mulder, George Dockrell, Craig Young
Tobias Visee, Max O’Dowd, Ben Cooper, Pieter Seelaar (c), Bas de Leede, Scott Edwards (wk), Antonious Staal, Shane Snater, Clayton Floyd, Fred Klaassen, Paul van Meekeren

Ireland: The duo of Andrew Balbarnie (205 runs in 8 games at 34.16) and Kevin O’Brien (287 runs in 8 games at 35.87) have been the leading run-scorers for the Irish this calendar year. They will once again be the key for the hosts in laying a winning platform with the bat which the likes of Rankin (9 wickets in six T20Is) and Adair (4 wickets in 2 T20Is) and can try and convert into a winning one with the bowl.
Netherlands: Max O’Dowd (299 runs in 9 matches at 33.22), Ben Cooper (233 runs in 9 matches at 33.28) and Seelaar (214 runs in 10 matches at 53.50) will be the key for the Dutch.
Captain and Vice-Captain Selection:

Bowlers – Fred Klaassen, Boyd Rankin, David Delany
Suggested Playing XI No.2 for Fantasy Cricket:
Keeper – Gary Wilson
Batters – Andrew Balbirnie, Max O’Dowd, Harry Tector, Kevin O’Brien (VC), Ben Cooper
All-Rounders – Pieter Seelaar (C), Stuart Thompson
Bowlers – Boyd Rankin, Fred Klaassen, David Delany
With the pitch being flat and boundaries short, another run-fest is expected at The Village. Hence, picking more top-order batsman or even making them captain/vice-captain will be a prudent punt.
Paul Stirling, who missed out on the game against Scotland due to a niggle could be a risky pick.
With Ireland playing on their home turn and considering the experience that they have in their squad, they should see off Netherland and notch up vital points in the tri-series.
