South African chinaman spinner Tabraiz Shamsi always comes with something interesting be it by his shoe celebration on taking a wicket or for his banter with fellow teammates. Shamsi is at it always and makes sure to keep the Proteas camp upbeat and positive.
He is again in news this time for linking New Zealand captain Kane Williamson to a football player. The chinaman compared Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante with the Kiwi skipper, who is known for his humble and gentlemanly behavior, and went as far as saying that no one can dislike him.
He also drew parallels with Kante stating that nobody can either hate the Chelsea footballer as he is always helpful and keeps smiling whatever the situation may be. As reported in Cricketnext.
Shamsi last featured for South Africa in their limited-overs series against Pakistan. He took five wickets across both formats and was successful in keeping the Pakistani batters under a tight leash. The 31-year-old was also named in the T20 squad for the tour to West Indies starting on 10th June.

New Zealand gearing up for the England series and WTC
On the other hand, New Zealand are currently in England for the two-match Test series which is set to begin on June 02 at Lord’s. From there on the Blackcaps will take on India in the finale of the World Test Championship final (WTC) starting on June 18 in Southampton. Williamson will no doubt be the key player for New Zealand along with Tim Southee, Trent Boult, and Tom Latham.
The Blackcaps last won the ICC trophy way back in 2000 under the captaincy of Stephan Fleming. New Zealand fell agonizingly short during the ICC 2019 Cricket World Cup and will now look to finish on high. Inspirational leader Williamson’s knack of handling key moments will decide which way the match will head.
They have a good chance in the two-Test matches against England to get acclimatized to the conditions. Meanwhile, India are coming from a thumping 3-1 victory over England and have form and momentum going ahead of the marquee clash. The two teams have faced each other 59 times in Tests and India have dominated the contest by winning 21 of those as compared to 12 wins by New Zealand.
