England Under-19s got their much-needed win as they got better of the inform India Under-19s on Thursday. It is to be noted that India, however, did not field with a full-strength side. Ben Charlesworth, who suffered a spilt of webbing earlier this month, returned with a half-century against India to set the platform in the chase. Jack Haynes was the top scorer for the hosts with a 104-ball 89 in the 257-run chase.
Kasey Aldridge has been impressive as a bowling all-rounder in this tournament. He recorded figures of 2/39 with the ball and later scored an unbeaten 16-ball 29 to finish off the chase. The home team will now take on Bangladesh Under-19s who began the tournament with a win against England. Lots of things changed since that match but Bangladesh will be hoping to get one more win and move ahead of India in the points table.
The 6th game of the Tri-Nation Under-19s Tournament between England Under-19s and Bangladesh Under-19s will be played at the County Ground in Cheltenham.
The match starts at 11:00 AM local time (10:00 AM GMT) (3:30 PM IST).
Cheltenham is set to host 4th consecutive match of the tournament. However, only two ended with a result as the game on Saturday got abandoned without a toss. The two completed matches witnessed 250+ scores by India which they defended against Bangladesh but England chased down in the other game. The track stays the same throughout the game and the batting depth of the chasing side would play a key role.
