Ravi Ashwin is a man who does not hold himself back as far as expressing his views is concerned. The Tamil Nadu spinner has always been the in-your-face type of cricketer and is someone who is bold as far as speaking his mind is concerned. The Indian player has made his displeasure felt about his plane ride from Melbourne to Sydney.
The Indian Test side travelled from Melbourne to Sydney where the New Year’s Test is scheduled to take place from January 7th 2021. With the series locked at 1-1 each, the Sydney Test assumes greater significance for both teams. However, it seems as if the Indian spinner is certainly not happy with his ride.
Taking to social media platform Twitter, Ashwin has termed his flight experience from Melbourne to Sydney as ‘Turbulent’. He also added #scary at the end of his tweet as well. Well, these are his exact words on Twitter, “Yours Turbulently. Melbourne to Sydney.”

India-Australia series locked at 1-1
India had their worst possible start to the series as they were bowled out for their lowest ever Test total in the first Test of the four-match series at Adelaide. The visitors were shot out for just 36 in the second innings of the Adelaide Test, as the kangaroos ran through the Indian batting line up. Australia cantered home with 8 wickets to spare inside three days.
In the second Test though, India retaliated in stunning fashion. Ajinkya Rahane had assumed charge as the leader of the Indian side, and he scored a scintillating century to allow India to beat the host by 8 wickets at Melbourne. Shubman Gill also showed a lot of promise in both the innings of his debut Test, taking the attack to the Australian bowlers by playing some fearless cricket.
As far as Ashwin is concerned, he has had an excellent series thus far. The spin bowling veteran has picked up 10 wickets in the two Tests, but most importantly he has been able to tie down Australian batting legend Steve Smith, scalping him twice in the two Tests thus far. He also averages a miserly 17.70 in the series thus far, and as a senior player, led from the front with his riveting performances with the ball in hand.
On a lighter note, Ashwin will be hoping that his journey in the third Test is not as turbulent as his plane ride was, from Melbourne to Sydney. The New Year’s Test will take place on January 7th, 2021.
