Indian captain Virat Kohli has been spreading awareness regarding the COVID-19 since the virus first outbroke and was spreading in India. As the world is serving a lockdown, the batsman is also locked down with his wife, Anushka Sharma at their Mumbai residence.
On Sunday, Virat Kohli posted a tweet in which he credited Maharastra Police for supporting the citizens during all sorts of bad situations. He announced that he has changed the display picture of his official Twitter account to the logo of Maharashtra Police.
By doing this, he paid his respect to the Maharastra Police who have been trying their best during this global pandemic. The Indian captain also urged his fans and followers to join him in this attempt.

After posting the tweet, the 31-year-old changed his display picture to the logo of the Maharastra Police. This was the way of paying tribute to the policemen, who are working day and night and trying to help others in these desperate times. Maharashtra has been the worst effect states in India. Out of the 63,000 cases of COVID-19, which have been reported in India, around 20,000 of them are in Maharashtra itself.
Kohli and his wife Anushka Sharma, on Saturday, donated Rs 5 lakh each to the Maharashtra Police for the welfare of the cops, who are fighting a tough battle against the pandemic. The couple had previously donated an unknown sum of money to the relief fund set by the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.
The situation of the global is getting worse day by day. Things are getting nasty in India as one would have hoped. The country is under lockdown until May 17. Even though some states are recovering well, it is only likely that the country will continue to stay in lockdown for some more time. More than 3 lakh people have lost their lives due to this pandemic across the globe.
