Indian skipper Virat Kohli might just be 30-years-old. But he has already achieved almost everything possible in cricket at this age, if not more. The run-machine has been an absolute beast for Team India with the bat. In the last three or four years, he has evolved so much and is currently rated the best in the world with an impeccable record across all the three formats.
However, failing in maths while in school still embarrasses Virat. In a sports web-show that he attended recently, the Indian captain revealed that he scored 3/100 in the subject. He made fun of himself saying that he was that good in maths and also added that he did not understand why someone would even want to learn math.
I did not understand why someone would even want to learn math
“So in math, we used to have exams and the maximum marks we could get in 100, right. I used to get 3, I was that good. I did not understand, why someone would even want to learn math,” Kohli said in a sports web-show, ‘In Depth with Graham Bensinger’.
Virat Kohli said that he could never understand the complications behind the subject. He even noted that he never used those formulas in life. The 30-year-old told that he just wanted to get through his 10th-grade exam. Also, there is a reason behind that apparently. Kohli was smart enough to realise that one could choose if he/she wanted to continue with the subject after 10th grade. Furthermore, Virat Kohli also joked saying that he never worked that hard in cricket the way he did to pass the exam.
“I could not understand the complications behind it, I have never used those formulas in life. I just wanted to get through my 10th Grade exam. Because they used to happen at a state level and after that, you could choose if you wanted to continue with math or not. I’m telling you, have never worked that hard in cricket the way I did to pass in that exam,” Kohli added.
