Nottinghamshire will tour Derby for the T20 Blast game against Derbyshire at the County Ground on Friday. The Nottingham team suffered a 28-run defeat to the defending champions Worcestershire while the 2nd game against Yorkshire got washed out. They got their first win on Wednesday when they faced Northamptonshire at home. Nottinghamshire chased down the target of 153 set by Northampton with seven wickets and nine balls to spare.
Derbyshire, on the other hand, got off the mark with a convincing 5-wicket win against Yorkshire. However, that happiness didn’t last long as they toured Birmingham to face the hosts at Edgbaston on Wednesday. The Birmingham Bears aka Warwickshire thumped Derbyshire by 49 runs. The home team posted a big total of 205/5 and the visitors never threatened to chase it down.
The North Group game in the Vitality T20 Blast 2019 will be played between Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire at the County Ground in Derby.
The match starts at 7:00 PM local time (11:30 PM IST) (6:00 PM GMT).
The County Ground in Derby hasn’t witnessed high-scoring Twenty20s as often as in the 50-over matches. However, the chasing teams don’t feel any different here in List A and T20s. Any score is expected to be chased down at this venue.
