Rain played a spoilsport in the T20 Blast on Friday. Only two games out of the seven matches that were played on this day yielded a result. Unfortunately, the respective games of both Warwickshire and Leicestershire were washed-out and both these teams have got one point each at the moment. But, they will be back on the field on Sunday for their second encounter of the tournament.
There are some great players in both these teams. However, their performance in the 2018 edition of the tournament wasn’t up to the mark. Both these teams lost some close games and thus couldn’t make it to the quarterfinals. However, this is a new season and they’ll look to start things afresh. Obviously, they will want more wins under their belt and thus, this game could be an interesting contest.
The North Group game in the Vitality T20 Blast 2019 will be played between Warwickshire / Birmingham Bears and Leicestershire Foxes at Edgbaston in Birmingham.
The match starts at 2:30 PM local time (7:00 PM IST) (1:30 PM GMT).
Birmingham hosted seven group stage matches in the 2018 T20 Blast out of which four of them produced 200+ totals including the highest-scoring Tie in T20 history. However, the tracks here during the World Cup were quite dry. It will be interesting to see whether the pitches can be restored to T20 Blast standards.

Warwickshire brought in Fidel Edwards on loan for the T20 Blast games. The pacer replaced Ian Bell in the squad that was named for the abandoned game against Warwickshire.
Warwickshire is expected to edge out Leicestershire by virtue of their batting line-up.
