Preview for Dream11 Fantasy
Technically, this should’ve been the last match of the league stage. But Bharat Bandh on January 8 led to the postponement of the Match 5 of the competition between India B and India C. Now, the game between India A and India C will be played at 9 AM and after that in the afternoon, India B and India C will face-off. As far as the points table is concerned, the Smriti Mandhana-led India B have qualified for the final.
India A now will have to beat India C and then hope for the table-toppers to also defeat India C to make it to the title clash. However, for India A to even win a game, have to bat well. Their skipper Harmanpreet Kaur is struggling while Deepti Sharma is batting a bit low. Despite her scoring unbeaten 30s in both the previous matches, the team lost the match.
India C should’ve qualified for the final by now. They failed to chase down 95 in the second match of the tournament but then came back well to defend 123 against the Kaur-led side. They will have to play similarly again in order to seal a spot in the final even before facing India B later in the afternoon.
The weather is expected to be absolutely fine in Barabati for the game of cricket to take place. It will be sunny when the match will get underway before a few dark clouds might take over. While there is no chance of rain whatsoever, the temperature is expected to hover around 25-28 Degrees Celsius according to AccuWeather.
The pitch at the Barabati Stadium has been on the slower side. Runs come by easily during the powerplay overs but then the run-scoring has been going down significantly. The team batting first is expected to bat first as the chasing has proved to be very tough.
Average first innings score: 119 (Last three matches at the venue in this tournament)
Record of the chasing teams: Won – 0; Lost – 3

Shafali Verma is swashbuckling batter and she attacks from the word go. She must be your top pick from India C side. Dayalan Hemalatha is an all-rounder and she does enough to earn around 50 Fantasy points on a good day. Rajeshwari Gayakwad is a good bowler to have as well.
As for India A are concerned, though she is not in good form, Harmanpreet Kaur has to be picked in your Dream11 Fantasy team. Priya Punia has crossed 25 with the bat in both the outings and could be a good addition. Deepti Sharma has been the pick of the players so far in the tournament and she should clearly be made captain of your Fantasy team.
