Ahead of the upcoming Miami Grand Prix Ferrari has cracked a multi-year deal with American technology company Hewlett Packard. The Blue logo of the company will serve as the prime sponsor of the team named Scuderia Ferrari HP.

The partnership will come into effect as soon as next Week’s Miami Grand Prix. Notably, the HP logo will also be incorporated into the team kit and Ferrari’s other racing entities. HP will also supply computers, monitors and printers to HP from next week for their racing and conference uses.

Speaking about the partnership Ferrari CEO Benedetto Vigna said that this partnership is focused on the team’s bid of sustainable future and innovation. "Our founder passed on to us his continuous will to progress. From this stems our drive to innovate on the road and the track, as well as our commitment to a sustainable future, from carbon neutrality to the education of the younger generation”, says Vigna.

"In HP we have found the same values, which make it an ideal partner. We look forward to starting our collaboration and facing new opportunities and challenges together”, he further added. Meanwhile, the HP CEO said, "With technology, performance and exceptional craftsmanship fuelling the future, the partnership between HP and Ferrari is a natural fit.”

Is HP facing conflict of interest?

Notably, HP is already present in the F1 grid with Mercedes which has triggered a question of whether is HP breaking rules. However, it has been clarified that Mercedes has partnered with Hewlett Packard Enterprise which specialises in cloud and networking solutions.

It operates independently from the consumer-focused HP which has partnered with Ferrari. The division of the two HP branches into distinct entities occurred way back in 2015. Notably, with HP’s blue logo on the front, Ferrari is also going to launch a special edition of SF-24 for Miami GP.

The special car will have two different shades of blue to mark the historic presence of the team in racing circuits. The two blue shades named Azzurro La Plata and Azzurro Dino will mark the team’s 70th anniversary in North America.
