Personal watch collection of Michael Schumacher is up for grabs, might get bid as high as 4 million USD

In May formula 1 will arrive in Emilia Romagna Grand Prix on May 13. During the racing week, Christie's Auction House will put up some watches for auction from Michael Schumacher. These watches will feature a collection from the personal assortment of seven-time world champions in Geneva.

The collection's highlight is a one-of-a-kind Platinum Vagabondage 1, specially made for Schumacher. It was gifted to him as a personal gift from his former Ferrari boss, Jean Todt. This watch symbolizes the close bond between Todt and Schumacher.

Watch designer Francois-Paul Journe has beautifully showcased elements like Schumacher's world titles, his helmet design, and the Ferrari Prancing Horse emblem. Engraved with a dedication from Todt to Schumacher for Christmas 2004, this unique timepiece is estimated to sell for $1.2 to $2.2 million.

‘Thanks for his trust’, says Christie Auction house

Another notable piece is a personalized Audemars Piguet commissioned by Todt for Schumacher in 2003, celebrating his sixth title. Featuring his iconic red racing helmet, this watch is estimated to fetch between £170,000 to £280,000.

Additionally, Schumacher's own Rolex Daytona Paul Newman is up for auction, valued between $230,000 to $440,000. This Rolex model is renowned as one of the most iconic and sought-after steel chronographs.

Christie’s Head of Watches Europe and US Rémi Guillemin said, “Christie’s expresses sincere thanks to the Schumacher family for their trust in us and their wish to share these masterpieces of horology with other passionate collectors around the globe.”
