On Thursday night, the Denver Nuggets defeated the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 3 of the playoff series, with a score of 112-105. Aaron Gordon contributed 29 points and 15 rebounds, while his teammate Nikola Jokic added 24 points, nine assists, and 15 rebounds. With this win, the current NBA champions, the Denver Nuggets, take a 3-0 lead in the series.

This victory marks the 11th consecutive win for the Denver Nuggets over the Los Angeles Lakers, showcasing their dominance. Jamal Murray also scored 22 points in this win, and Michael Porter contributed 22 points in the third quarter, allowing the Denver Nuggets to take control of the game and secure their fifth consecutive win over the Los Angeles Lakers.

On the Los Angeles Lakers side, Anthony Davis scored 33 points and grabbed 15 rebounds, while LeBron James scored 26 points and had nine assists. However, their efforts weren't enough as they lost for the seventh consecutive time in postseason matches to the Denver Nuggets. The last postseason win for the Los Angeles Lakers against the Denver Nuggets came on December 16th, 2022.

Denver Nuggets have upper hand over Los Angeles Lakers in playoffs

D'Angelo Russell was scoreless in 24 minutes of the game for the Los Angeles Lakers, who received just two assists from their unstable third option on offense. Russell missed all seven shots, including six three-pointers. Meanwhile, Gordon had his highest-scoring game in the Nuggets' previous two playoff campaigns, including 10 points in the third quarter as Denver grabbed control. Jokic hit nine of 13 shots and came close to achieving his 17th career postseason triple-double.

In Game 2 against the Denver Nuggets, losing a 20-point lead in the second half, the seventh-seeded Lakers were left upset and confused, according to Davis, who said the Lakers don't always know what they're doing when confronted with Denver's offensive variety. However, Game 4 will take place on Saturday in Los Angeles. While no team in the NBA has made a comeback after losing 3-0 in a playoff series.
