After leaving the game late in the first quarter due to a right foot injury, New York Knicks star Jalen Brunson started the second half of Wednesday's Game 2 against the Pacers. In the first few minutes of the second half, he was noticed favouring his right foot and playing more away from the ball than he had earlier in the game. During timeouts, it looked like he had a heating pad on his foot.

Nonetheless, he remained a significant player in the game, and his charge on Myles Turner elicited a shout from the Madison Square Garden crowd. Jalen Brunson received MVP shouts minutes later after scoring a basket while being fouled.

Jalen Brunson sustained a foot injury after colliding with Indiana Pacers player Andrew Nembhard with 7 minutes left in the first quarter. It was unclear when the injury occurred. During the accident, Brunson bent over in agony and seemed to be clutching his groyne or middle.

They defeated Philadelphia 76ers in the first round (six games). The Pacers are the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference, with a 47-35 record. They defeated the Milwaukee Bucks in the first round (five games).

New York Knicks leading the series

Brunson has scored 40 or more points in four consecutive games, becoming the fourth player in NBA history to do it in the playoffs, and is the playoffs' leading scorer at 36.6 points per game. He left with five points.

After winning Game 1 by score of 121-117, the Knicks currently lead the series 1-0 against the Pacers.  Indiana will host the third game of the series on Friday night. The victorious series will go on to play the Cleveland Cavaliers or the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference Finals.
