On Thursday, the Milwaukee Bucks travelled to Louisiana for the match against the New Orleans Pelicans. In their previous meeting, the Milwaukee Bucks won the game over the New Orleans Pelicans by 147- 117. New Orleans Pelicans aimed to end the season by securing their place into the playoffs of in the Western Conference. The trio of Khris Middleton, Damian Lillard and Giannis Anetetokounmpo were given the green light to play in the Milwaukee Bucks' attacking strategy. 

In the first quarter of the match, the game got a slow start as both teams were not able to find an attacking move. In the starting 12 minutes of the opening half, the New Orleans Pelicans managed to take the lead by 26-25. The second half the game got more pace as the New Orleans Pelicans were dominating Milwaukee Bucks's defence. The New Orleans Pelicans attack was led by Zion Williamson, Jonas Valanciunas and CJ McCollum took advantage by scoring 61-45 by the time of halftime.
