'OKC FOREVER' - Fans reacts as Oklahoma City Thunder takes down Dallas Mavericks in Game 1

Basketball: On Tuesday night Game 1 of semi-final series from Western Conference Oklahoma City Thunder defeated Dallas Mavericks by 117-95. Oklahoma City Thunder takes 1-0 lead in the semi-final.

On Tuesday night Game 1 of the semi-final series from Western Conference, Oklahoma City Thunder defeated Dallas Mavericks by 117-95 as Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 29 points, nine assists, and nine rebounds. He got support from Chet Holmgren, who scored 19 points, three blocks and seven rebounds, while Jalen Williams had troubleshooting for his shots until three quarters, but helped his team in the last quarter as he scored 18 points.

After a close start that knotted the game at 23 after the opening quarter, the Thunder took control and led by nine points at halftime. Dallas Mavericks cut the gap to one in the third, but the Thunder responded with a run of their own to restore their advantage to double digits. 

 

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander outperformed Dallas' Luka Doncic, another MVP finalist. Doncic scored 19 points on 6-of-19 shooting and committed five turnovers. Lu Dort did the majority of the work protecting him, with rookie Cason Wallace getting some play and Holmgren bothering him at the rim.

For Dallas Mavericks, Kyrie Irving took charge as he scored 20 points, while Daniel Gafford contributed 16 points, 11 rebounds, and five blocks. Dallas started the second half on a run, and Irving's 3-pointer trimmed Oklahoma City's advantage to 66-65, prompting the Thunder to seek a timeout.

 Oklahoma City Thunder dominated the fourth quarter

After the half-time Isaiah Joe and Dort each dropped three-pointers, and Dort ripped Luka Doncic, leading to a slam by Williams that put the Thunder ahead 74-67. Gilgeous-Alexander's three-pointer with Doncic in his face put Oklahoma City ahead 80-69. Irving made a 3-pointer as the third quarter ended, but the Thunder still led 89-79. Williams scored eight consecutive points for the Thunder, putting them ahead 102-87. 

Oklahoma City Thunder then dominated the fourth quarter with a 28-16 surge, turning a tight game into a blowout victory. Game 2 wtakel go place Thursday night in Oklahoma City.
