Orlando Magic scalp amazing comeback against Cleveland Cavaliers to level series

Orlando Magic were able to make a great come-back in the 4th game of the series as they won the game 112-89 away from home in Cleveland on Saturday.

In Game 4 during the 2024 NBA Playoffs, the Orlando Magic defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers 112-89, sending their supporters home satisfied. After a back-and-forth first quarter between the Magic and Cavs, Cleveland's push during the second quarter gave them a 10-point advantage. The Cavs led 60–51 at the half, but Magic took over from there.

Orlando jumped out to a 22-point advantage and held it until the last buzzer with a 41-10 run. Franz Wagner made his breakthrough playoff performance and was a major driving force behind the comeback. For his first career postseason double-double, he scored 34 points and pulled down 13 rebounds.

Jarrett Allen, who produced 21 points and brought down nine rebounds, paced the Cavaliers.The Magic have now regained control of the game, and when the two sides visit Cleveland on Tuesday, the Cavs will have to guard home court.

How did the proceedings go between Orlando Magic and Cleveland Cavaliers?

Midway during the second quarter, the Magic tied the game at 41 points after overcoming four turnovers apiece from Jalen Suggs and Banchero in the first quarter. After Mitchell's lone 3-pointer, the Cavs scored 37 points in the second quarter, making 13 of their 18 attempts. This started a 9-0 Cleveland run.

After Cleveland committed a turnover, Wagner scored a layup and made a jump shot near the free throw line to start the second half. During a five-minute 17-6 run, he added a three-pointer and a three-point play, giving Orlando a 68-67 lead.

The Magic led by 24 before the start of the fourth quarter after finishing the quarter with 14 consecutive points, capped by three straight baskets from Wagner. The Cavs' last points of the third quarter came from a 3-pointer made by Max Strus with 5:26 remaining. Before Caris LeVert's jumper with 10:40 remaining in the fourth, they had not scored in the game again.

There were a few little altercations during the game, such as a face-to-face confrontation between Suggs and Damian Garland and Strus's flagrant foul in the fourth quarter for obstructing Cole Anthony's attempt at a dunk.
