The star RR leg spinner Yuzvendra Chahal completed the milestone of 350 wickets in the T20 format while playing for different teams. He achieved this milestone in the ongoing IPL 2024 game between Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

Chahal picked 1 wicket in his spell of 10 overs; now, he has also registered his name in the list of the leading wicket-takers in the T20 format among the players of all teams, be it in franchise leagues or at the international level of the game.

Chahal has scalped 350 wickets in these matches with his best performance of 6 wickets at the cost of 25 runs in a match. With his amazing numbers, Chahal stands at the top of this list of the leading wicket-takers in T20 format from India.

Piyush Chawla – 310 wickets

The second number on the list is of none other than the veteran India and MI spinner Piyush Chawla who has been active in T20 cricket since 2007; it’s been more than 17 years of Piyush Chawla being in action in the shortest format of the game.

Chawla has scalped 310 wickets in 292 innings of the 293 matches he has played so far with an economy rate of 7.52 and a strike rate of 19.7. He has also claimed 3 four-wicket hauls in his illustrious 17-year-long T20 career.

Ashwin started playing T20 cricket representing Tamil Nadu 17 years back in the year 2007 on the same day of April 3 when Piyush Chawla made his T20 debut while playing for Uttar Pradesh.
