The Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) opening batter Abhishek Sharma has been in phenomenal form in this Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. The 23-year-old batter showcased his talent and batting partner, Travis Head. Both batters have given the team some great starts, so SRH has reached the target of 250+ thrice in the tournament. Moreover, Sharma's mentor Yuvraj feels the batter isn't ready for the T20 World Cup yet and needs at least six more months.

"Abhishek is almost there, but I don't think he is ready for the World Cup right now. For the World Cup, we have to take an experienced side. Obviously, some guys have played for India. After the World Cup, he should be prepared to play for India. That is what he should focus on. Coming six months will be very important for Abhishek," said Yuvraj Singh.

Abhishek Sharma has emerged as one of the best players of the IPL 2024. The kind of spirit and intent he has shown throughout the entire tournament has been commendable for a 23-year-old. Somehow, he has taken the team's responsibility on himself and played efficiently.

'He has to learn to play out the bowlers...' - Yuvraj Singh praises Abhishek Sharma's growth in cricket

Yuvraj Singh praises Abhishek Sharma regarding his growth in cricket. As per the former cricketer, the 23-year-old batting star has learned to score and target bowlers whenever needed. The best part about Abhishek is the confidence with which he plays his shots.

"He has the ability to play big shots, the big sixes which he has been hitting are very good, but I think he has to learn to take singles and know how to rotate strike. He has to learn to play out the bowlers who are bowling well and target other bowlers. I think work has to be done on that aspect," said Yuvraj, as quoted by Cricbuzz.
