Rajat Patidar played a blistering knock of 50 runs off just 20 balls against SRH in the 41st game of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. He registered one of the fastest half-centuries for RCB in the history of the tournament since 2008. The middle-order batter also joined the elite list alongside some star RCB batters.

4. AB de Villiers - 21 balls vs RR in 2012

RCB and RR were locking horns in the 30th match of the Indian Premier League 2012 at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. Batting first, RCB posted a total of 189 runs for the loss of just 3 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. In the first innings for RCB, opener Tillakaratne Dilshan scored 76 runs off 58 balls, with 10 fours and a six.

Apart from Dilshan’s knock, what attracted the eyeballs was the blistering half-century scored by AB de Villiers; he smashed 59  runs off just 23 balls; he also completed his half-century off just 21 balls; it still stands at the fourth fastest half-century for RCB in the history of IPL as of now.

3. Robin Uthappa - 19 balls vs PBKS in 2010

During the 7th game of the IPL 2010, the former RCB batter Robin Uthappa was the then-fastest half-century for RCB. Uthappa’s knock is also standout because it came during the run-chase of a massive target of 204 runs against PBKS in IPL 2010. Apart from star all-rounder Jacques Kallis’ 89 runs off just 55 balls with 8 fours and 5 sixes, Uthappa completed his half-century off just 19 balls.

He eventually scored 51  runs off just 21 balls, with 4 fours and 4 sixes; these two blistering knocks also helped RCB to chase down the target comfortably in 18.5 overs, scoring 204 runs for the loss of just 2 wickets and won the match by a big margin of 8 wickets.

2. Rajat Patdiar – 19-ball half-century against SRH - IPL 2024

The star middle-order batter Rajat Patidar managed to get his name into the list of the fastest fifties for RCB in the history of IPL. He played this knock recently in the game against SRH in the ongoing IPL 2024. Rajat Patidar came to bat for RCB when the team had lost 2 wickets at the score of 65 runs in 7 overs.

Patidar smashed 50 runs off just 20 balls, in which he completed his half-century off just 19 balls, with 4 fours and a six. His half-century was also = one of the two crucial half-centuries for RCB scored in his match. These knocks also helped RCB post a total of 206 runs for losing 7 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Later, RCB also won the game against SRH to register their second win in the 17th edition of the tournament.

The former swashbuckling RCB batter still holds the record for the highest individual score in the history of the Indian Premier League. He played this knock against the Pune Warriors India in the IPL 2013. During this knock of 175 runs, Chris Gayle also registered the fastest-ever half-century for RCB in the tournament's history.

Chris Gayle completed his half-century off just 17 balls in this game against the Pune Warriors India. It is still the fastest fifty for RCB in IPL.
