Irfan Pathan names his India's top orders for upcoming T20 World Cup 2024

The T20 World Cup 2024 starts on June 6 and is scheduled to take place in the West Indies and the USA, India's squad hasn't been declared yet. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is waiting to release the squad for the upcoming World Cup and will probably release it later this month.

Although there have been no official announcements on the squad's release, it's expected this month. Moreover, Irfan Pathan has chosen his top order which includes Rohit Sharma, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Virat Kohli. Considering the form of all three players, it is obvious that these players will get a place in the T20 World Cup squad. 

All three players have scored a century in this year's IPL and are playing really well. Having them as openers will help India get great starts in the powerplays which will be very important. Moreover, as the team will be declared, we might get to watch a few new faces as well keeping the IPL performances in mind. 

India's World Cup 2024 journey to begin on June 5

India will be playing the T20 World Cup 2024 in the West Indies and the USA where they'll get different conditions than that from India. It will be interesting to watch how they'll manage to play and manage the team's atmosphere as well. Meanwhile, India's first match is on June 5 against Ireland.

This time India is in group Along with Pakistan, the USA, Canada and Ireland. The league stages won't be difficult for India keeping the new teams in mind. However, the knockouts might be tiring as all the star-studded teams might qualify for the knockouts. Keeping India's knockout record, the team should be extra careful this year.
