Mumbai Indians (MI) batter Tim David and batting coach Kieron Pollard were found guilty of breaching the IPL code of conduct during the match against the Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. Their offense was a Level 1 breach under Article 2,20 of IPL's Code of Conduct, and they were each fined 20% of their match fees. Moreover, both of them accepted their mistake and were fined by BCCI.

"David and Pollard committed a Level 1 offence under Article 2.20 of the IPL’s Code of Conduct. David and Pollard were each fined 20 percent of their respective match fees. Both admitted to the offence and accepted the Match Referee’s sanction," said BCCI.

The interesting part is that the officials didn't disclose the reason. However, it was pretty evident that they asked the Mumbai Indians batter, Suryakumar Yadav, to take a DRS during the 15th over, due to which they were penalized.

'This format is a little difficult for bowlers...' - Jasprit Bumrah opens up about bowling scenario during IPL 2024

As the IPL 2024 has turned into a bowling nightmare thanks to destructive batting, Jasprit Bumrah speaks his heart out regarding this topic. As a bowler, he's quite successful enough to take regular breakthroughs. However, it still becomes difficult to stop the batters during the game as they have to maintain the line and length consistently.

"This format is a little difficult for bowlers, with time restrictions and impact player rules. Batting lineup becomes deeper and deeper. But that's not in your control. I do relay the message to the bowlers whenever I can. But you also don't want to deliver too many messages in the heat of the moment," said Bumrah during the post-match presentation.
