The Royal Challengers Bangalore franchise has once again decided to make the change in their IPL jersey as they once again opted to tweak their green jersey during the game against KKR, which is slated to take place on Sunday, April 21. Notably, RCB has been renowned for the green jersey since 2011, and the jersey is usually reserved for the afternoon matches at M. Chinnaswamy Cricket Stadium in Bangalore.

Meanwhile, RCB has initiated this green jersey to promote planting more trees, which can reduce the effect of global warming. However, the franchise released the new green kit jersey ahead of the opening clash against CSK after they underwent a name change to Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

However, RCB recently revealed that they will be wearing the green kit jersey during the away game. Meanwhile, RCB usually wears this green jersey during the afternoon games. However, they only have 3 matches at home, all starting in the evening, which is the main reason why they opted to wear the green jersey in the upcoming clash at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

RCB has been in terrible form and endured one of the worst seasons in IPL history

Meanwhile, speaking about their season, RCB has been in terrible form and endured one of the worst seasons in IPL history. Notably, the side is having a single win with just two points from the seven matches they have played so far in the season. However, they also hold the record for conceding the highest total in the history of the IPL when the SRH went on to score 287 runs against them in their recent clash.

Talking about the next clash, RCB will be without the services of all-rounder Glenn Maxwell as he recently sustained a hip injury, which makes him out of the clash against KKR on Sunday. Notably, the Faf du Plessis-led RCB now needs to win every single match if they wish to reach the playoffs of the IPL 2024.
