'Mujhe nhi lagta ki kisi ko right hai ki...' - Gautam Gambhir hits at 'media and trp logics' on reporting his relations with Virat Kohli

Former Indian opener and now KKR mentor, Gautam Gambhir was in the headlines of both mainstream and social media after his heated on-field altercation with the former India and RCB skipper, Virat Kohli. The incident happened last year in the IPL 2023 after a game between RCB and LSG, where Gambhir was active as a mentor in the last edition.

Meanwhile, the duo once again attracted the eyeballs of the cricketing fraternity in the ongoing IPL 2024. Both Gambhir and Kohli went viral over social media after they hugged each other during a game between KKR and RCB in the current season. Apart from that, the other day, they were also seen in a long and animated chat with each other.

With that, the expectations of fans about an expected altercation, argument or spat between Kohli and Gambhir fell to the ground as both the stars shared a great camaraderie. Now, Gambhir has also lashed out at the ‘media and trp logics’ while reporting about his relations with his ex-India teammate Virat Kohli.

“It is all about TRPs. The media has no clue what kind of a person I am, or what kind of a person Virat is. All the media wants to do is create hype. But hype can also be created positively,” said Gambhir on Star Sports while reacting to the question about ‘public opinion’ on his and Virat Kohli’s relationship with each other.

“I second what Virat said. Logon ka masala nahi mila toh (The gossip bit is over for people). As I said, when two people are mature enough, I don't think anyone has any right to interfere between two people's life or their relationships because ultimately, it is between the two of them,” he added later.

Furthermore, Gambhir also spoke about the dancing skills of India’s modern-day batting great, Virat Kohli.

“Even if I want to, I cannot pull off even one move. So if I had to learn something from Virat, it would be his dance moves,” he said.
