Mumbai Indians won their third game of the IPL 2024 season win by 8 runs. It was a hard fought contest as they downed a spirited fight back from Punjab Kings. While the team was happy after the win, there is trouble brewing in the camp as far as Hardik Pandya is concerned.
Mohammad Nabi the Afghanistan star shared a post which was calling out Hardik Pandya and his captaincy. The veteran player batted just one ball and didn’t bowl at all which created a lot of confusion considering that PBKS had a few left-handed batters.

It hasn’t been a happy return to the team for Hardik Pandya as he has been booed by fans both at home and away. The decision to give the captaincy of Mumbai Indians to Hardik Pandya has angered a lot of fans.
More rift in Mumbai Indians camp?
Just after posting a close win against Punjab Kings, it was seen that Mohammad Nabi had shared a post criticizing Hardik Pandya. The former Afghan star had shared in an Instagram post from a fan which read “@Mumbaiindians some of your captain’s decisions are very strange and surprise people? Nabi didn’t bowl today?”
While Nabi was quick to take down the post, many eagle-eyed fans were quick to spot it. This has now led to a new round of speculations that there are further rifts in the already disgruntled Mumbai Indians camp.
Hardik Pandya has been called out for a few debatable decisions during the IPL 2024 season. Jasprit Bumrah was given the chance to bowl in the death overs during the game against Chennai Super Kings, MS Dhoni hit Hardik Pandya for three successive sixes to help CSK post a score in excess of 200.
The non-inclusion of Nuwan Thushara has been one of the biggest talking points. Mumbai Indians have been suffering with their death bowling as seen in the last few games. Romario Shepherd has been expensive with the ball in the last few games and has been constantly targeted by the opposition batters.
Mumbai Indians are currently 7th in the table and will play Rajasthan Royals in their next game. The match is set to take place on Monday at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium and the men in blue and gold will hope that they can win the next few games to make it to the top four spot in the table.
