Pakistan cricket is on the rise and it's pretty evident from the recent ICC Men's T20I Player Rankings that have been released recently. Taking into account his recent performances against New Zealand in a home series, Shaheen Afridi has jumped up two places to secure the 17th rank in the T20I Player Rankings.

After playing the first three T20I games, Shaheen is leading the pace attack with his phenomenal bowling. Moreover, Adil Rashid remains on top of the list with 726 ratings followed by Sri Lanka's Wanindu Hasaranga who is at 687. For an amazing performance in the ongoing series against Pakistan, New Zealand's Ish Sodhi moved five places up and reached the 18th position.

Pakistan's Babar Azam has maintained his top position in the Men's ODI rankings with 824 ratings. He has done extremely well in the recent past due to which he retained his position. It's a huge success and honour for Pakistan since the players are doing well on the International level.

'Will experiment with the combination...' - Skipper Babar Azam after the win against NZ

As Pakistan won the 2nd T20I against New Zealand after bowling them out at 91, skipper Babar Azam praised the team for their magnificent efforts. Moreover, Babar also focused on the kind of combinations they are focusing on currently keeping the T20 World Cup in mind.

"Have to set the tone in first six overs. The way Shaheen, Naseem and Amir bowled was outstanding. Will experiment with the combination and will try different batters at different numbers. On paper whenever you look at the Pakistan team, every player looks like a match-winner. We try to play according to the situation. Have 10 matches before the T20 WC. On the day we try to do well in all three departments. Want everything up to the mark going into the World Cup," said Babar Azam at the post-match presentation.
