The IPL, which features top cricketing ability across eight franchise teams, frequently offers entertaining moments, with high-scoring battles that regularly exceed 200. Teams frequently score large totals reminiscent of ODIs, especially at venues such as Eden Gardens in Kolkata and M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore, which are noted because of their batting-friendly conditions.

Here are the top 5 highest team scores of all time in the history of the IPL:

With Gautam Gambhir joining as a mentor of the 2-time champions, KKR are looking like a different side in the ongoing season. The Caribbean all-rounder Sunil Narine has opened the innings in the first 3 matches for KKR and has provided a great start in 2 of them. During the clash against Delhi Capitals, KKR posted a monumental total of 272 runs with the help of Narine, Andre Russel, Angkrish Raghuvanshi and Rinku Singh. However, they fell 5 runs short of breaking the record for the highest team total.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) were looking brilliant on the paper in the last season but their performance didn't justify the big names they had. However, this season, the management has given the captaincy role to Pat Cummins who also became the 2nd most expensive player in IPL history. During the clash against Mumbai Indians, SRH posted a huge total of 277 which is now the highest team total in IPL history. Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma and Heinrich Klaasen were the key players behind this massive total.
