TV viewership for first 22 days of IPL 2024 reaches new heights as compared to previous season

Indian Premier League (IPL) is reaching new heights every day in terms of numbers and is breaking numerous records. Alongside the on-field records, the off-field records of T viewership are also increasing with each passing day. The official broadcaster of IPL 2024, Hotstar has released data saying they have a reach of 44.8 crore viewership with 18000 crore minutes of total watch time. 

According to an Official statement from the Broadcaster, "Star Sports, as the broadcaster of the TATA IPL and the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, will keep fans up-to-date with all the latest action and player performances, offering insights and analyses that build anticipation and excitement for the upcoming global tournament."

According to BARC, this year the IPL viewership has broken previous year's records in the first 22 days of the tournament. Moreover, the day 1 viewership was 16.8 crores with 1276 crore minutes of total watch time. Undoubtedly IPL has become one of the most successful tournaments of all time. 

IPL 2024 finals to be played in M.A Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 has almost reached halfway and the teams will complete their first seven matches by this weekend. The top four teams so far are Rajasthan Royals, Kolkata Knight Riders, Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad. All the other teams are trying hard to reach the top with brilliant performances from the players. 

Moreover, this time the IPL 2024 finals are scheduled to be played in the M.A Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. After more than a decade, Chennai is finally hosting the tournament's finals. This might be a good chance for CSK to defend their title on their home ground and give tribute to MS Dhoni as this might be his last IPL and first as a non-captain.
