Pakistan Cricket Team are giving it their all to prepare for the upcoming T20 World Cup. Babar Azam who was named the captain of the side once again has been tasked with the responsibility of winning the men in green their second T20 World Cup title.

On Wednesday there was a viral clip of Babar Azam and Imad Wasim being engaged in a rather animated chat. From the look of it, the two players were having a massive argument as the rest of the members came into the fray to cool down tempers.

Pakistan haven’t had a great preparation for the T20 World Cup as they nearly lost at home to an under-strength New Zealand side. The series ended 2-2 after the home team managed to win the 5th and final T20I match of the series to deny the visitors a famous series win.

Imad Wasim makes a massive statement in the viral video

After the much-publicized argument that was caught on video, Imad Wasim spoke to the media. The veteran star came out and refuted claims of any fight with Babar Azam and said that he is very good friends with Babar Azam and there is a lot of respect between the two.

Meanwhile, Pakistan are set to travel to Ireland to play a short T20I series. This will serve as a good tune-up for the two sides who will head to the West Indies and USA for the 2024 T20 World Cup starting in June.

Both Pakistan and Ireland are in the same group along with India, Canada and co-hosts USA. The much anticipated India versus Pakistan clash will be played in New York on the 9th of June.

Fast bowler Mohammad Amir who has just made his comeback to cricket hasn’t been able to Ireland as yet. The left-arm pacer as per reports hasn’t been able to get his required documents for the travel explaining Amir’s absence from the travelling squad.

Pakistan were the runners-up of the first-ever T20 World Cup in 2007 losing to India by 5 runs. Two years later they went one step ahead and captured the title which is their only T20 World Cup win to date. Babar Azam and his side reached the finals of the 2022 T20 World Cup before eventually losing to England.
