A lone Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) fan was seen celebrating, while he was sitting in between all the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) fans during the 39th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. During the match, when Marcus Stoinis hit the ball for a six, the fan jumped into excitement shocking the CSK fans sitting around him.

The match was super exciting as it turned out to be a last-over thriller where LSG won by six wickets winning two straight matches against CSK. Since the match was in Chennai, the LSG crew weren't the crowd's favourite but emerged as winners by the end of the day which is indeed a victory. With Marcus Stoinis' century, and Nicholas Pooran being a helping hand, the visitors chased down a target of 211 runs.

CSK skipper Ruturaj Gaiwad hit his 2nd century of the IPL, along with Shivam Dube's half-century, taking the team's total to 210 runs. It was unfortunate for CSK to lose such a match due to its bowling mishaps. It's high time they pull up their socks and start performing, or else CSK won't be able to defend their title this year.

'It was a fresh start, both teams started off at 0...' - Skipper KL Rahul after winning the match

Skipper KL Rahul seemed happier than ever during the post-match presentation as LSG defeated CSK in their own backyard. It was a tough game chasing 211 runs, but Marcus Stoinis held his nerve throughout the game and scored a century which overshadowed Ruturaj Gaikwad's century in the first innings.

"It was a fresh start, both teams started off at 0. Different conditions here. I think they started off really well and put us under pressure. 170-180 would’ve been a great total here but they batted really well. Full credit to Stoinis. It was not just power hitting, it was very clever batting," said Rahul at the post-match presentation.
