Cheaters aren’t the only thing players need to worry about in Counter Strike

Counter-Strike players are tired of complaining about the increasing problem of cheaters and bots in both casual and competitive lobbies, making the game unplayable.

Cheating has been a universal complaint among Counter-Strike players, it got so bad that top players and content creators are refusing to play regular matchmaking or premier and opting for third-party services like Faceit until Valve fixes the issue.

However, it is not the only thing that is griefing players who just wants to play even casually or hop in for a short death match for warm-up. Reports of increased bot lobbies have been surfacing in recent days that are booting players off the match.

These bots are usually used to farm experience on an account, which are later purchased by people seeking to try out cheats on alternative accounts. Some people also provide account-boosting services to others with these bots.

Another use of these bot accounts is weekly crate farming to try and make a quick buck. In any case, real players who are getting stuck in these lobbies are getting vote-kicked. Although, not as bad as facing cheaters, it can get very annoying.

As per the official instructions, players are advised to file a complaint directly to Valve if they come across these forms of account boosting or crate farming. Players need to provide a screenshot of the scoreboard, links to the profiles involved, and a link to the profile of the player reporting.

Sadly, there isn’t much change even after submitting reports. The game is in a dire state and the player base is miserable with no work from Valve on anything.

Players appealing for mass boycott

Several players are now asking others to stop playing unless things take a turn for the better, which is quite understandable as they are not able to play the game they want. Paired with other issues like missing modes, no new maps and the recent blunder of giving cheats by Valve themselves are testing player patience.

Players can resolve the majority of the issue by playing on third-party servers, however, new players usually do not have any information regarding this and get stuck between cheaters before switching or eventually stop playing altogether.
