Recently, Bungie has been trying to win back its reputation among fans, and it has been going pretty well with Into the Light expansion. Free game modes and loots while boosting all characters to power cap, what more players could ask for?

PvP sees new light

The latest addition in Destiny 2 also includes a focus on the PvP aspect, which has been neglected for a while. Bungie has now added three new maps for Crucible. As an example of how badly the PvP was neglected, all these three maps are more than what the game added in the last two years.

Pushing content updates regularly so that players may not get bored, including seasonal activities can take a lot of toll. However, the latest addition is already winning the hearts of Destiny PvP enjoyers and even casuals.

Previously, the Into the Light expansion brought Onslaught, a wave defence game mode, alongside a new Pantheon challenge where players are pushed into random raid encounters with randomized loots including guaranteed craftable weapons. On top of that, the devs also recently brought back sunset weapons from previous expansions.

Free for all

Another huge addition is the free DLC access for the main story to all players from May 7 till June 3. The expansions include Shadowkeep, Beyond Light, and The Witch Queen. Players will have complete access to this expansion for the duration, including the Raids.

Alongside the expansions, Bungie is also opening up year 6 seasonal content to prep players for The Final Shape. “In addition to the expansions, all Seasonal content from Destiny Year 6 is available to all players through June 3, which includes: Season of Defiance, Season of the Deep, Season of the Witch, and Season of the Wish,” Bungie said.

This, however, is not the first time Bungie has handed the expansion to players. Epic Games users will remember that the company have already given out some older expansions as part of their free game catalogue previously.

With these banger updates, The Final Shape is already looking enticing and for the most part, players will likely purchase the expansion. After all, who’s going to give up at the end of the line for the light and dark saga after 10 long years?
