The Sub-Machine guns are generally used by aggressive players in Counter-Strike, enabling them to get a quick kill and give their team an advantage. They are also helpful in a forced buy round, as something is better than nothing.

Light Machine Guns on the other hand change the gameplay heavily. Since they are heavy, most people use them to hold angles, especially on the CT side as the Ts have to rush. However, if the Ts feel like using the LMGs, they certainly can. Here are all the SMGs and LMGs, where they are best used.

Sub-Machine Guns

1. MAC-10

MAC- 10 (Source: Google)

The most affordable SMG exclusive for the T side, MAC-10 is the go for any aggressive play. Being an SMG, it does not have great armour penetration or that much reliability apart from close range taking down the enemy with two shots. However, the $1050 price is not a big deal. The weapon is usually brought out in forced by and is pretty common if the T side loses the pistol round.

2. UMP-45

UMP-45

UMP-45 is the watered-down version of MAC-10 that has a slightly lower bullet count. It is also priced a little higher at $1200 and is the slowest firing SMG on the list, which gives it a huge disadvantage while facing multiple people. However, the weapon does have very easy-to-control recoil and good armour penetration at medium range.

3. MP9

MP9 (Source: Google)

Like UMP, the MP9 is also exclusive to the CT side. However, with the price tag of $1250 is the go-to SMG choice for most. It boasts a decent range, 30 30-round magazine and a quick reload. One thing that sets the weapon apart is the high fire rate. The MP9 have the highest fire rate across the board, enabling players to get an advantage of the fire first.

4. PP-Bizon

PP Biizon (Source: Google)

PP-Bizon features the same stats as the MP9 but has a less range effecting its damage. The weapon has a large magazine of 64 rounds. Armored enemies also give this weapon a hard time. It is a great weapon for an aggressive CT player holding an entry point if they have funds, however, at $1400, there are a lot better options.

 5. MP5-SD

The MP5 is a great alternative for the CT compared to Bizon in forced buy rounds. It costs $1500, have more range and is a suppressed weapon. Players who love to flank and take down enemies by surprise can make use of this weapon. The price might be higher, but most people would select this over Bizon.

6. MP7

MP7 (Source: Google)

The MP7 is another great option that many players prefer over the Mac-10 and Bizon costing the same as the MP5 with slightly higher damage. Players who do not want to play stealth can choose this option. Like any other SMG, it also has a simple recoil pattern and a great fire rate.

 7. P90

P90 (Souce: Google)

The most expensive SMG, which also gives the lowest kill bonus, the P90 is a devastating meme gun. With 50 bullets and a fire rate similar to MP9, players just need to hold the trigger and run at enemies. What stops most people from using it is the $2350 price tag. On the T side, players can use Galil as an alternative, while CT side can use the scout sniper or the MP9.

Light Machine Guns

 1. Negev

Negev (Source: Google)

Talk about holding the trigger, the Negev turns out to be far superior to the Bizon and P90 at just $1700. With a magazine of 150 bullets, the weapon has a very simple recoil and good armour penetration. Players just need to crouch and spam a choke point while slowly pulling the mouse down. It is a great weapon to spot any kind of rush where it is posted.

2. M249

M249 (Source: Google)

The upgraded and less popular version of Negev, the M249 costs $5200 and is the most expensive weapon. While the ammo count is less than its alternative, it features a one-shot headshot to armoured enemies. The feature, however, is outshadowed by its price and the fact that most players get LMG to spam and not look for a headshot.
