Counter Strike developers Valve have now hit players with a huge update adding more quality of life and UI improvements, map rotations and much more. The question however remains is the update any good, or does it address the main issue of cheating that players are complaining about? Let’s check it out.

First off, players who love Overpass are now losing Overpass, however, players who love Dust 2 are getting Dust 2. Players are now also able to change between left-hand and right-hand viewmodel much easily, and can even switch hands temporarily mid-round by pressing the H on the keyboard.

Another addition is the line-up reticle while lining up various grenades. Players will now see a crosshair for better adjustment after pulling the pin for the grenade. The timing for its appearance can be adjusted individually for each grenade.

The buy menu will now show the minimum amount of money players will have the following round if they are planning to get something that round. This will come very handy in maintaining economy, so players don’t go broke in crucial rounds. Players can now also pick up a dropped weapon from the buy menu in the buy zone.

Alongside these changes, weapon kill rewards have also been update, with some getting buffs while other getting nerfs. Zeus and CZ75 have seen an increase in reward for a kill, while Zeus also have its attack cone adjusted. There are no specifics, so players will need to try it out to see the difference.

XM1014 shotgun on the other hand have received a nerf in kill reward going down from $900 to $600 which might affect the use rate. XM currently costs $2000 while all other shotguns are much cheaper. Its counterpart Mag-7 costs only $1300.

Overwatch is back!

The Overwatch system has returned to Counter Strike 2. For those who do not know, Overwatch is kind of a ban aid fix to the cheating problem. Gameplay demos for ‘alleged’ cheaters are reviewed by trusted players, who then give their feedback if the player was actually cheating or not.

For the most part, the overwatch system can be quite effective with an actual people reviewing the game. However, the process can be slow and while the cheater will eventually get banned, they would’ve made the day worse for several other people.
