OpTic Gaming recently dropped its Apex Legends roster featuring Knoqd, Skittlecakes and Dropped and have exited the competitive Apex scene after two long years. The team did relatively well previously, but the last few months have been harsh.

The decision came after the team recently failed to qualify for the ALGS Split 1 Playoffs which seems to be the final straw for the organization. OpTic themselves did not announce their departure, as they simply thanked the team.

The revelation was done by Dropped who in his X post wrote, “No longer a part of OpTic, they have decided to exit the Apex scene. Thanks to them and the fans for the past year of support. It was a pleasure representing the Greenwall.”

Fans of the team were shocked by this sudden decision from OpTic Gaming and believe that there might be some other factors too behind the scenes. Whatever, the case may be, they also wish the best to the players and hope that they find another team soon. Another thing fans are wondering is who will be taking their spot as one of the 12 ALGS-partnered teams.

Team Liquid signs Legacy roster

On the other hand, Team Liquid might be planning a comeback to the Apex Legends scene after the recently signed “Legacy” featuring YanYa, Jaguares and Neazul who were previously a part of Luminosity.

The team secured the fourth spot at the recent Pro League split, which likely caught the eye of Team Liquid. These players also have a great track record with multiple high-level finishes. Liquid after exiting the scene back in 2022 may have seen an opportunity in the team.

There is currently no official announcement, but fans expect one very soon. Maybe Team Liquid will also fill out the game in the ALGS partner team left out by OpTic.
