Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) Chengdu has now concluded with Faze lifting the Championship trophy after defeating MOUZ. During the tournament, fans got to see some unexpected performances from pros.

Team Liquid, Astralis and MOUZ especially displayed their resilience in the tournament, creating some memorable moments for the fans. One of the best clips came from Ádám 'torzsi' Torzsás from MOUZ during their matchup with G2 in the semifinals.

In the opening match, round 11 on Nuke, torzsi was in a 1v2 situation against the Kovač brothers from G2, NiKo and huNter. The situation started with a 2v3 with the monster duo Jimpphat and torzsi against the best three of G2.

Watch the video here:

torzsi took down M0nesy and Hunter won his duel with Jimmy, bringing the situation back to square one. In a heroic attempt, torzsi climbed up the vents to both NiKo and huNter looking him in the face and served an insane flick to huNter before NiKo took him down.

'Thank god NiKo was there'

The crowd went crazy and so did the casters with only the obvious in their mouth, “thank god NiKo was there” which was very fortunate as the win helped G2 to secure a decent first half. However, the team eventually lost the map, even with Hooxi's ace round.

Jimpphat, torzsi and xertioN went ham on their opponents with a boost in confidence due to their performance across the tournament. The team also went on to win the best of three series and face Faze in the grand finals.

MOUZ wasn’t able to take on Faze, but they did manage to show the potential of the team and how well the players can do in future. With a missed chance to secure a spot in IEM Cologne, MOUZ will now start over at the ESL Pro League Season 19 starting in a week.
