AC Milan lists 9 names as possible replacment for Stefano Pioli
AC Milan will be facing Inter Milan in an all-important Milan Derby in the Serie A at the San Siro, on Monday. Earlier in the week 'the Devils' were knocked out of the UEFA Europa League, by their rivals AS Roma. Milan have been suffering with consistent form in the current season, but they are placed 2nd in the points table 14 points behind Inter and Simone Inzaghi's side have the chance of winning the title on Monday itself.
Milan head coach Stefano Pioli is under fire after his side was eliminated from the Europa League. The coach is expected to leave the club after the end of the current season. Milan understood that Pioli would have to leave the club in the summer. As a result, the work is already underway to recruit suitable replacements, and several names have been associated with the club.
As Antonio Vitiello said in the next 48-72 hours will be critical, as Milan must select their next manager in the upcoming summer window. Other than the two names there are 7 more names Thiago Motta, Roberto De Zerbi, Paulo Fonseca, Christophe Galtier, Marcelo Gallardo, Sergio Conceiçao and Marco Rose. They are also on the list for the club but Zlatan Ibrahimovic is going to take the final call on the next manager. Ibrahimovic wants former Dutch midfielder Mark Van Bommel to join the side, as the Dutch is associated with Saudi Arabia and PSV U19 manager.
