After the international break, the club football will return on March 30 with all the clubs competing to be the best in their leagues and Europe. On Saturday, the German football fans will witness the Der Klassiker, the game between defending champions Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund. The Allianz Arena will be packed with the crowd for the final Klassiker of the season in the Bundesliga. Both teams will most likely be focused on the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals in a week, but they still have something to play for domestically.

Bayern have not found form in the current season as they are currently placed 2nd in the points table and 10 points behind the league leaders Bayer 04 Leverkusen. The reigning champions have struggled in crucial matches and they would like to change their fortunes after the break and hope the league leaders drop some points. In their last game before the international games, they won 5-2 against SV Darmstadt.

On the other hand, the ‘die Schwarzgelben’ form has been up and down in the season. They are 4th in the points table and won their last game against  Eintracht Frankfurt 3-1 at home. They will be looking to keep their hopes alive for the Champions League next season.

The marquee match will be the 135th time these two sides will face each other. The Bavarians have won 67 matches and have an impressive record against their arch-rivals. The visitors are winless in their last 11 games against Bayern and would like to change the fortunes in their favour. The teams will meet each other for the first time in 14 years when they are not at the top of the table.

Bayern Munich vs Borussia Dortmund: Prediction

Though the Bavarians have an excellent record against their arch-rivals and look better than their rivals, Dortmund will look to shock the home side and make a comeback in the Klassiker. However, Kane’s form will be a headache for the Schwarzgelben as he has scored 31 goals in 26 games so far. On the other hand, Niclas Fullkrug has 11 goals and 8 assists and can trouble the home side.

Prediction: 2-1 Bayern Munich
